Ja Ja Ja is back, Groove turns 25 with a bonkers line-up at the big haus, Shameless/Limitless are throwing a 1080p label nacht and Berlin gets covered in (probably) a pretty bananas light show. And this is all before Saturday. It’s all very vibes, we’re excited.
Below are some of the events we are recommending for the week ahead in Berlin. Each of them is either highlighted with a:
Bron loves it! – more electronic, than not.
Lucy loves it! – more indie boy band/ pop vibes/ not techno.
Everyone loves it! – 2.5 words: shit’s ACE and/or edible.
FLUXBAU – Lucy loves it!
Our favourite night of Nordic
babes music, returns this Thurs and looks set again to put on a smorgasboard of totally lecker pop. October’s edition of Ja Ja Ja Berlin will be covering Norway, Denmark and Finland, with the night kicking off in the Finnish corner with Manna, a femme with pretty bananas/powerful vocal chords and a Muse support slot behind her. She’ll be followed by First Hate, a Danish duo with a penchant for moody, synthy feels. Sample their latest here. Rounding out the live slots for the eve – Norwegian Astrid S who is a bit of a pop sensation in Norway, we’re talking top 10 radio charts and bucketloads of Spotify streams, and only 18. Killinggg it. In between sets and afterwards, Finnish DJ Rony Rex will be selecting tunes. As always this looks set to sell out, so nabbing a ticket in advance is recommended, ODER:
Thanks to the lovely leute behind Ja Ja Ja we have a pair of tickets to give away. OH HEJ DU. To win:
1. Flick this post a like (you can do this up the top or bottom – options!)
2. email email@example.com with Ja Ja Ja in the subject line by Donnerstag 12:00.

BERGHAIN / PANORAMA BAR – Bron loves it!
Groove Magazine is turning 25, and they’re celebrating in a suitable bonkers way. Taking over the main floor of the big haus, the German music mag’s party will kick off at the after-work friendly hour of 21:00 with a live set from Four Tet. It was always going to be good wasn’t it? From midnight, clubnight proper with Floating Points (for 5 hours – casual), Mark Ernestus and Nick Höppner, and in Peebs – Larry Gus (live), Duke Slammer, Junior Boys and nd_baumecker. This is a pretty solid choice for guaranteed killer night.
MITTE (mostly) – VARIOUS – Everybody loves it!
We were sceptical at first, however the Berlin Festival of Lights is actually pretty cool. The recipe is probably as you’d expect major sights around Berlin, covered in light installations/video art – however people are really talented and in the past these have been really impressive. And when were you last a tourist in your own city? TIP! Grab some Freunde, your Fahhrad and a bike basket full of Getränke and you’ve got yourself a pretty lols Freitag abend booze cruise. This actually continues for a good week or so, but why not make the most of that opening night feel and get all over it tonight. Bonus points for spotting any illuminations paired to the OFFICIAL theme song from 2015 ambassador Paul van Dyk. This is all real.
CHESTERS – Bron loves it!
Chesters generally draws nice people and Shameless/Limitless have a knack for booking nice acts, so we’re already off to a good start with venue + party maker alone. Throw in Canadian label 1080p and a handful of their roster and our prediction – danceable Freitag abend vibes. Sets for this label nacht will come via Dan Bodan, Project Pablo, Scientific Dreamz of U & Max McFerren (DJ). Doors at 23:00, tickets Get a taste of 1080p’s thing over here.

SALON ZUR WILDEN RENATE – Bron loves it!
Move D in Renate. Think ideal house party without the BYO. The vibe master is part of an overall more than decent line-up too with Johannes Albert (Frank Music), Arnaldo (Smallville), Delfonic (Oye) and residents Sado Opera, Peak and Samantha Fox.
