What’s Up Weekend? 3 – 9 September 2015

Still all, “Ah! Wochenende! Shit! What should I do?”. Kein Ding, our picks for this first September weekend are below and there’s something for everyone with highlights including the launch event for the latest edition of Hello Mr., finest techno c/o Grounded Theory and all the feels via a live set from Palmbomen thanks to our Shameless/Limitless friends. Ideas – got them.

Below are some of the events we’re recommending for the weekend ahead. Each of them is either highlighted with a:

Bron loves it! – more electronic, than not.
Lucy loves it! – more indie boy band/ pop vibes/ not techno.
Everyone loves it! – 2.5 words: shit’s ACE and/or edible.

DO YOU READ ME?Everybody loves it!

Less on the techno front, tonight head to Do You Read Me? for the Berlin launch party of the latest edition of Hello Mr, a NYC-based, globally reaching print mag, (to steal their own words) about men who date men. With the cover story shot by Matt Lambert, this 6th edition focusses on the Haupstadt and if the preview over on iheartberlin is anything to go by, this looks like one pretty schön collections of images and stories.  Running from 18:30-20:30, stop by after work, meet some babes & kick start your wochenende.

ARENA CLUBBron loves it!

Returning to where it all began, this Freitag Grounded Theory move back to Arena Club after three years at Stattbad, and coincidentally celebrate their 6th anniversary. Prediction – ideal techno vibes incoming. One of Berln’s Berlin’s best techno parties, GT has a penchant for pulling together 5-6 quality artists on a once-monthly Freitag nacht and this first Autumn (!) edition is no different featuring Blawan (Ternesc, Sheworks), Inigo Kennedy (Token), Svengalisghost (live) (L.I.E.S), DJ Pete (Hard Wax, Grounded Theory) and Blue Hour (Grounded Theory, Ostgut Ton). This will be a sweaty one.

SAMEHEADS Bron loves it!

Our pick of the dancefloors this Samstag goes out to this number at Sameheads courtesy of our friends at Shameless/Limitless. Taking over the Neukölln favourite’s cosy dancefloor, we’ll be treated to a live set from Beats in Space signee and LA-based Palmbomen, who if you’re not yet acquainted with you should a) attend, obvs and b) preview over here. Joining him for what should be a whole lotta dancey vibes, Cocktail d’Amore’s Omer, Dance Café’s Bahamian Moor, and W/ndows (FKA Night Angles). Kicking off at 23:00, we recommend heading down early.

About BRON

Bron writes on all things techno. If there's a party at the club, she is probably there - with fiddy and all the gang. She also likes gluten free bread (because she can't eat wheat) and wine.
