This weekend – we’re going classic Samstag / Sonntag marathon, starting with Odd Fantastic at Stattbad, or Modulate at Arena Club, and if we make it – and fare better than Felix at the door – a cheeky Sonntags dance in the Big House. Techno not your flavour? You’ll also find a party dedicated to Robbie Williams at Backyard (via The Last Days of) on Fri. Choose your own adventure / see you on a dancefloor.
Below are some of the events we are recommending for the week ahead in Berlin. Each of them is either highlighted with a:
Bron loves it! – more electronic, than not.
Lucy loves it! – more indie boy band/ pop vibes/ not techno.
Everyone loves it! – 2.5 words: shit’s ACE.
***DISCLAIMER: these aren’t the only discos that are going on – they are just the ones that stand out.

SAMSTAG
STATTBAD – Bron loves it!
With a knack for curating killer parties, you could pretty safely rock up to any Odd Fantastic night without knowing who’s on and be close to guaranteed vibes. This round is no different, with the Berlin party collective hosting an on the Geld group of six we’d also ‘trek’ to Wedding to see individually. In the Boiler Room – Mood Hut’s Pender Street Steppers go b2b with compadre / Future Times’ Hashman Deejay, alongside one Bristolian I’m pretty excited to see, Idle Hands’ Shanti Celeste in what we think is only her second Berlin gig (warm up with her totally schön RA mix over here). Rounding out the larger room will be Golden’ Pudel’s RVDS, while in the Bunker find a live set from L.I.E.S’ Ngly, long-adopted Berliner Adam X and Moments Dr. Rubinstein, who also seems to be getting a lot of positive big ups lately. It’s a 6 outta 6 kind of affair.
ARENA CLUB – Bron loves it!
One of Berlin’s more interesting new techno parties returns to Arena Club this Sat, and their third edition is looking particularly punchy. Modulate, a once-monthly affair, was conceived as a night to showcase finely curated techno that encourages you to let your mind goooo, and this round sees The God Planet’s Claudio PRC lead the charge. On top of his hypnotic thing, he’ll be joined by locally-based Swede Moon Wheel performing a live set, DOQ’s Excell and Modulate resident Lakehead. Entry will set you back a casual €10, or grab a ticket in advance via RA. Looking to discover new techno faves and/or a less weathered dancefloor – this is the one.
BERGHAIN / PANORAMA BAR – Bron loves it!
There’s admittedly rarely a Sat/Sund when Berghain isn’t bananas, however this week we’re getting extra giddy. On the main floor find the Zenker Brothers (celebrating their delicious new LP), Function (who’s Silvester set I’m still dancing to) and so many more, incl. DJ Pete, Answer Code Request, Dave Clarke and Terrence Fixmer (live). 100% fat free. Upstairs – classic hand-raisers from the immer gut Mister Saturday Night, joined by fellow New Yorker Juan Maclean, as well as Massimiliano Pagliara, Serge, Permanent Vacation DJ Team and more. This should be a memorable session.
