This week we’re vibing mid-week concerts from ridiculously talented artists in special venues and Saturday shenanigans, of both the house meets disco and Rock n Roll meets art varieties. And that Rock n Roll number – Satisfactory Factory – we’re giving away tickets too! Free things, love things, special musical moments – stop it, Berlin!
Below are some of the events we are recommending for the week ahead in Berlin. Each of them is either highlighted with a:
Bron loves it! – more electronic, than not.
Lucy loves it! – more indie boy band/ pop vibes/ not techno.
Everyone loves it! – 2.5 words: shit’s ACE
***DISCLAIMER: these aren’t the only discos that are going on – they are just the ones that stand out.

URBAN SPREE – Everybody loves it!
After a ridiculously popular summer edition – we’re talking 1000+ Besucher here -, Satisfactory Factory returns to Urban Spree this Sat and things look set to once again get sehr wild. Curated by Australian-bred, Berlin-based band Me, the event spanning three cities (parties have also gone down in London & New York) is a celebration of all things Rock ‘n’ Roll and features performances and work from bands, tattoo artists, painters, DJs and more – it’s practically a festival (and you know how we feel about festivals *pulls out disposable flask*). For this autumn edition, they’ve gone above and beyond, with live music from Me themselves, Tanga Elektra, Creatures, Goldmouth, Shontay Snow, Rowster & more, live tattooing from Ocho Cuevos artists (don’t miss their free tattoo comp, over here!), live painting throughout the garden (with artists curated in collaboration with Emma Danger Bertoldi), viele DJs across two rooms and delicious essen from Buns, Crepe Away and Son Kitchen.
It’s nothing short of bonkers, with the night kicking off at 19:00 and only setting you back €5 – 8 depending on when you buy your Karte. Like free shit? Who doesn’t!:
**WIN TICKETS!**
Thanks to our friends behind Satisfactory Factory we have a pair of guest list places to give away. Danke danke. As always, entering is easy: Hit the LVTG FB page and fill out your details before Saturday 14:00. The winner will be informed shortly after – check your emails!
FARBFERNSEHER – Bron loves it!
Meanwhile, for more intimate dancing with a side of sexy, head to Farbfernseher for the second edition of Foxygen, a night of warm feelings, disco and house in the neighbourhood of disco. One of our favourite venues for getting cosy/sweaty with friends and/or soon to be new ones (for anyone who hasn’t been here, your dancefloor capacity is around 40), this round of Foxygen sees the return of resident Christian Olofsson joined by guests Sarah Oppenheimer and Stevie T, who we’re promised should all have a few tricks in their records bags to keep that tiny dancefloor dripping. As always, we recommend heading to Skalitzerstrasse 114 early if you want to ensure getting in – and bonus extra, entry before midnight is freee. Catch you on the d-floor, I’ll (Bron) be there getting my hit of feelgood.

ADMIRALPALAST – Bron loves it!
It could be perceived as a bit of a dick move, highlighting an event that it not only ausverkauft but which we don’t have a surefire ticket finding solution for, but ahhhhh JON HOPKINS & NILS FRAHM, in the SAME PLACE at the SAME TIME. (It also happens to be seated, in a fancy venue in Mitte. HEAVEN). Ticket finding ideas for all those who need one:
- Post on, refresh, hound, always-keep-open, the event page. Someone’s friend has to be too sick/out of town right?
- Go there early, ask around – things do happen at the last minute, maybe someone’s mate had a dodgy Döner on the weg, spare tickets can appear. Don’t be afraid to ask!
- Go there early, look for scalpers. Not as common in Germany, but these pricks do still exist. Bring geld.
- Make friends with Jon or Nils.
Viel glück! (particularly with the last one)
HAU – Bron loves it!
Berlin is all sorts of spoilt this week, with another special concert in a beautiful venue on offer. This one is a performance from Mark Ernestus presents Jeri-Jeri, a collaboration between the Berlin-based producer and group from Senegal – who are made up of a griot clan of Sabar drummers and a number of other Sengalese musicians. Taking place in HAU 1, a totally schön theatre (in a series of three) on the border of west Kreuzberg & Mitte, the ensemble mostly specialise in West African style mbalax – which you can get introduced to over here or here. Something totally different for your midweek abend, lock in your ticket and head to HAU on Wednesday – from what we’ve heard/seen/read, this should be a memorable one.
