More of those long weekend vibes this mid-May? Bitte! Kicking off this Ascension Day Feiertag with a cheeky album release party for Lvis Mejía tonight, moving into the once-monthly, always-awesome Grounded Theory at Stattbad tomorrow and winding up with both edible and listenable treats via The Breakfast & Vinyl Market Sund
Below are some of the events we are recommending for the week ahead in Berlin. Each of them is either highlighted with a:
Bron loves it! – more electronic, than not.
Lucy loves it! – more indie boy band/ pop vibes/ not techno.
Everyone loves it! – 2.5 words: shit’s ACE and/or edible.
YAAM – Bron loves it!
Because tomorrow doesn’t really count as a work day anyway – keep that long weekend vibe rolling tonight at Yaam with the release party for Mexican producer Lvis Mejía‘s latest full-length, Lostoys. Out now on Static Discos, we’re told Lostoys’ is a “full circled voyage wandering through jazzy hues, adventurous electronica, analog warmth and edgy digital synthesis” and after a quick first listen (over here) we’re agreeing with it’s genre-hopping vibe. Joining him tonight will be locals Walter Vynil, DEKJ and Radar Bird. Doors at 21:00, tickets at the door.
STATTBAD – Bron loves it!
If you like your techno, well fucking awesome – your foolproof bet is to head to Wedding’s Stattbad for the 33rd edition of Grounded Theory. One of our – and Berlin’s – favourite techno parties, this month’s edition sees 50 Weapon’s Truncate lead the charge in his first Berlin appearance for 2015. He’ll be joined by Deeply Rooted’s Francois X, Trouw’s Sandrien Bru/t’s Av Skardi and rounding things out, Grounded Theory’s own Milton Bradley. In short – prime techno and an ideal start to your weekend. Warm up with Truncate’s CLR mix over here.

MARKTHALLE NEUN – Everybody loves it!
If there’s ever a reason to ease up on the Samstag night party, it’s the reward of getting yourself across to Markthalle Neun for an edible Sonntag about as great as things get. The Breakfast Market is back for it’s once monthly, and this round joins forces with a number of local labels, distributors and music crew to put on a vinyl market in parallel with delicious Essen. BITTE SCHÖN. The usual suspects on the food vendor side will be there (serving everything from Korean Congee to Eggs Benedict) and for your vinyl collection, stalls K7,BPitch Control, City Slang, Erased Tapes, Innervisions, Monkeytown, Oye Records, Native Instruments, Pampa, Record Loft and more will feature. Grab a bottle of Prosecco, make your way through multiple courses of breakfast and score
