BERLIN: This week we’ve got a Geburstagsfeier, sexy vibes from Sohn and tonight, a Cashmere Cat. There’s some techno in there too (natürlich). Viel Spaß, make party, kisses XX
Below are some of the events we are recommending for the week ahead in Berlin. Each of them is either highlighted with a:
Bron loves it! – more electronic, than not.
Lucy loves it! – more indie boy band/ pop vibes/ not techno.
Everyone loves it! – 2.5 words: shit’s ACE.
***DISCLAIMER: these aren’t the only discos that are going on – they are just the ones that stand out.
GRETCHEN – Everybody loves it!
Think that kicking off your weekend one night early is a good idea? Cashmere Cat does. Tonight catch Cashy in all his Norwegian glory, as part of his worldwide-ish Wedding Bells tour. Wedding Bells the EP can be sampled over hier. Your location – Gretchen. Your supports – residents Delfonic and Soulmind. The damage – €8 or €12 on the nacht. The flava – club-ready hip-hop / feline. Meow.
FARBFERNSEHER – Bron loves it!
For a cosier Freitag dancefloor, we suggest heading to Farbfernseher for Persuasion, returning after a debut back in Jan. Residents Will Lynch & Sarj will this round be joined by Berlin-based 12 x 12, who we don’t know so much about but are told to expect “elegantly dusky house and techno” – which is making us feel it’ll be luscious/vibey. With Farbfernseher being one of our fave Berlin dancefloors when the crowd and tunes are right, this should be a ganz lecker start to your weekend.

ARENA CLUB – Bron loves it!
Celebrating their 7th Geburtstag, Luzia will be throwing their annual birthday bash this Samstag abend – they grow up so fast! This time taking over another of our fave d-floors, Arena Club, the team behind the beliebte Oranienstrasse bar will be machen the party over two rooms – with live performances from Emika, Easter and Hotlane and sets from Physical Therapy and Tokyo Hands in Room 1, and Beautiful Swimmers, Call Super, Intergalactic Gary and Sarah Miles in Room 2. And a rare treat in Berlin – tickets are available in advance at Luzia or Voo Store.
Also worth checking out:
HEIMATHAFEN NEUKÖLLN – Everybody loves it!
Nearly slept on this one, yikes! One-man master of heart-melting pop, Sohn, is in town and tonight plays Heimathafen Neukölln – a rather sweet little theatre-thang right at Karl-Marx-Str. U-Bahn. Touring langggg-awaited debut album ‘Tremors’ which was released this week (wrap your ears around it here), the night should be filled with all sorts of sexy emotion – get all over that. We’re told this is already Ausverkauft so you might need to dig a little for tickets. Doors at 21:00, support from Joy Wellboy.
