Summer is over. I don’t know why I feel like starting with that is a good idea. But it is, I’m wearing stockings and we have to get on with life. One thing I start doing every end of summer is start planning my next summer. I think I do this to keep the hope alive that I won’t actually freeze or lapse into winter depression this year.
Sicily should be your next summer vacation. I went, it was bloody marvelous. This year I took a Disposable Camera, below (and above) are 8 shots that pretty much sum up a week of sun, driving and absolute leisure. We only hit the west/ central bit of Sicily, so keep that in mind. At some point I will write an outline of our route, but that time is not now.
To give you a bit of a back-story – in the Spring of 2012, Lucy set off on a trip with someone she didn’t really know – for a 2′ish month long road trip. Traveling the girth of America they had 35 disposable cameras on hand. When they finished up? They had 11 left over. Lucy has gave these cameras out to people she likes/ loves/ adores – for them to use/ send back and for her to develop/ put on the blog.
Those cameras have long since been used – but now we just buy them to use for shit because nostalgia is a wonderful drug.
