Our final day at SXSW, it’s bitter sweet really. After this we are off to see the rest of this great country that is America – and that’s pretty exciting – especially after having to drive through West Texas which is actually nothing land. And then SX – which is always such a highlight.
It’s exhausting, it’s seriously hot, it’s often very dehydrated, and it’s mostly spent tiddley – but for all of that, it’s magical.
It’s one of the only festivals that you can’t really explain to people, you just have to go and let the happen.
Yesterday we saw all sorts of weird and wonderful people. Miike Snow – kind of major. Breton – some of the nicest a guys you will ever stumble across/ kind of bananas live (in the best way possible). We tried to see the Drums at some point – but seems they were AWOL, and we managed to watch half of what was supposed to be their set – thinking it was their tuning people (that’s embarassing). 1,2,3 > delicious boys from Pennsylvania. And so many more that just seem to merge into one.
