SPOT FESTIVAL: Max from Reeperbahn Festival’s Top 5

SHARE ME:

Hi-hallo-MOIN ! Today we are saying all those words and more to our 5th German at SPOT Festival, our mate Maximilian Domma… or just Max – because Max-i-mil-i-an Dom-ma really is a lot of syllables. During the 9-5 hours of the day you’re going to find Max virtually high-fiving artists and their management, to bring everyone together over ~4 glorious days at the end of September for Reeperbahn Festival, a Smörgåsbord of musical talent and vibes and all round good times in Germany’s famous city on the harbour – Hamburg.

When he is not eating all the Fischbrötchen or sauntering up and down the Reeperbahn to the sounds of English bucks parties and general debauchery, he’s probably taking a bunch of selfies (God only knows he likes to send them), writing a thesis on how to properly weight your water to beer consumption during Festival season and/or searching for the perfect cap – because one can never have too many baseball caps.

To recap – this year I’m jumping on a bus from Berlin to the great Danish city of Aarhus for SPOT Festival. As a result of this, I have asked a few of my favourite Germans to get me their top 5 artists that will be appearing at said festival.

So – let’s get on with it. Say “Moin-moin Max Domma !”, this is the 5th and final installment of our “5 Favourites from our Favourites for Spot” (if anyone can think of a catchier title – I’d be grateful).

Los geht’s the fuck outta here.

AURORA

What can I say… The most impressive show at the Eurosonic Festival in January. Such a young, talented and charismatic artist. I shook hands with her and then she mentioned me on Instagram – so we’re in love.

Saturday 18:45 VOXHALL

AV AV AV

Impressive electronic producers and great to see how fast they’ve developed. Received a recommendation from David / Appletree Garden Festival in the beginning of the year and now they’ve just played the KOKO in London. Things seem to grow fast! Exciting.

Saturday 22:45 MUSIKHUSET – RYTMISK SAL

POOL

Check out this German indie/pop gem. They played the Reeperbahn Festival in 2012 and have kept on growing since then. Now internationally which is great to see. I am looking forward to seeing their show at SPOT.

Saturday 20:30 RADAR

YUNG

Looking forward to the moshpit. High energetic y(o)ung guys from Aarhus. And it seems there’s some hype in the UK as well! Well done guys!

Friday 23:00 VOXHALL

THE ATTIC SLEEPERS

Don’t know much about the band yet, but had the chance to listen to some unreleased tracks of their forthcoming EP. Very nice quite traditional indie music and a great singer! Very excited to be seeing them live soon.

Saturday 19:30 MUSIKHUSET FILUREN
