OCEANIA CALLING: The Kite String Tangle

Crikey-dingo ! In 2014 we are dedicating a certain amount of the blog to artists of an Australiana (and maybe New Zealand, because we are virtually the same) flavour. For a few reasons:

  1. There is some great music coming out of the land down under, that just doesn’t get light over in this Northern Hemisphere I find myself in.
  2. Home is where the heart is, sadly > and I’m hoping this might quelle some of the homesickness I have been experiencing lately.
  3. I will move back one day, so let’s be proactive about any and all sorts of influence I may have.

Today we are saying hi to The Kite String Tangle. I think maybe this isn’t so new – but it is to me, and I have been enjoying their track (with Elroy 4.0) Trinkets. It’s darkly dreamy, with an Australian accent – and that my friends, I can get firmly around. This duo is from Brisbane, which to be honest I have pretty beige feelings about – that said, I have only been to Brisbane once as a drive-by. So – I really can’t claim an authoritative stance.

Welcome to Australia by sounds, it’s good to have you X
