There have undoubtedly been some delights of this Berlin winter – pretty snow, mass consumption of Glühwein, and a genuine reason to rock a down-filled Euro puffer jacket. But this arschkalt business has gone on long enough and Berlin could do with some luscious summery vibes.
All playing live, across the night expect lots of whispery vocals, some heavenly downtempo layers, and a warped semi-hip-hop vibe – you’ll undoubtedly be left happy and floating around, in a really good way.
Key pre-listening? Berlin-based Australian Kyson’s very dreamy ‘Blackstone‘ and his heavenly remix of Bon Iver’s Holocene (which made the cut as part of that remix comp). Luxembourger Sun Glitters’ ‘Everything Could Be Fine’ – one of those albums you can listen to on repeat, and genuinely enjoy more each time. And Julien Mier (in the Dutch corner)’s ‘When Will You Wake Up’ – come at me, delicious textures.
To share the feel good vibe, the lovely crew over at Momentum have given us 1 x double pass to give away. To win, simply answer this one in the comments below:
If you were a summer fruit, what would you be, and why?
You have until Wednesday 7pm to enter (that’s tomorrow!). We’ll announce the winner shortly there-after on the Lucy vs. the Globe facebook page.
And if you’re not lucky, don’t forget to buy your tickets in advance on Resident Advisor – Prince Charles isn’t the biggest of venues, play it safe.
