If you’re looking for more ways to celebrate food (we all know this actually means to eat more!) then be sure to check out these five events.
DELICIOUS MONDAYS | Rheinsbergerstr. 76/77, Mitte
If you don’t live in Berlin, you’ll probably need some context around this one. Berlin is the startup capital of Europe so it’s not that weird that you see them collaborating with other businesses. In this case, we see the home of SoundCloud, Twitter and more tech companies – Factory Berlin – team up with the guys from Barkin’Kitchen. Together they will turn the startup campus into a temple of gastronomic indulgence, starting on 22 June. At 12noon you’ll find a unique lunch menu, but when the clock strikes 18:00 the space will open as a food market offering gourmands a big variety of tasty, seasonal dishes paired with quality wines, beers and cocktails.
DAYAW | Markthalle Neun – Eisenbahnstr. 42/43, Kreuzberg
Tonight, Pepe Dayaw is bringing the culture, traditions and food of the Philippines to Markthalle Neun. Get your hands on some Filipino street food classics including kare-kare rice crepes; gazpacho watermelon, rhubarb and Spreewald gherkin with spicy ginger and slow-cooked broth of pork bone marrow with rhubarb, tomatoes, and colatura di alici.
COCKTAIL FOOD PAIRNG | Bryk Bar – Rykestr. 18, Prenzlauer Berg
Berlin Food Week (19-16 June) is in full swing and there are enough events to fill your diary from AM to PM, Mon-Fri. But ain’t nobody got time for that. We’re getting all excited about the 3-course cocktail and food matching event tomorrow night. Example menu: Risotto with grilled Provence-basil-lime-espuma and caramelized balsamico paired with BRYK Gin, basil, pepper, fresh lime juice, bee’s happiness, Chari Tea Red. Do you need any more convincing?
BURGERS & HIP HOP | Prince Charles – Prinzenstr. 85F, Kreuzberg
Burgers are rad. We love them and we love them hot. Lucky for us, the theme for the event this Saturday is hot i.e. spicy. Dunno how the natives will go, but we’re pumped!
DINING DAYS | Various restaurants in Berlin
For one-week, locals and visitors to Berlin are invited to explore more than 50 selected restaurants and their exclusive Dining Days menu. From 2-course menus including a glass of wine for 19 euros, or 3 courses with a glass of wine for 34 euros to a 4-course meal with wine to match for 69 Euro. It’s a good opportunity to check out some of Berlin’s pricey restaurants.
